So, you want to start your own Micro Brewery or Distillery! As a business consultant for 30 years, I know what your first step should be. You need to know what Regulatory Body or agency issues you a license to operate a Micro Brewery or Distillery. Every state has its own regulatory process. You get started by going to your state’s government web site. Put in key words in the search such as Micro Brewery License, Craft Brewery License, Distillery license, Distillery Application, Micro Brewery Application, Craft Brewery Application, Alcohol regulation, License fees, Micro Brewery Permits, and Distillery permits. From here it is just spending time on the computer to locate the right Government department. My Blog next week, Step two, Building a relationship with a Government Regulatory body.
